Mining services company, PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) received a new contract from PT Halmahera Sukses Mineral (HSM) to manage a nickel mine in Weda, Central Halmahera, North Maluku. The commitment lasts for five years or will expire in 2027.
"The strength of the company's business allows us to continue looking for new contracts, if before 2021 PPA only works on coal projects, now we have 2 nickel projects that we manage," said the person in charge of operations (PJO) for the PPA site HMS, Ufo Mahendra. in his statement, quoted on Tuesday (28/6).
PPA management representative, Arif Rahman said that PPA will always give optimal efforts to achieve production with the principles of good availability, reliability and durability of heavy equipment. "This is supported by the best physical availability, reliability and durability of the tool. Therefore, this opportunity we also synergize with United Tractor as a distributor of the tools we use to make this happen," said Arif.
With this principle, said Arif, last year PPA received an award from United Tractor as The Most Fleet Purchase . "Considering that we are premium customers from UT, in 2021 we will receive the Most Fleet Purchase award from UT," he said.
Under this contract, PPA will provide mining services such as stripping, nickel mining, and rental of heavy equipment at the HSM mine site. For information, the form of synergy between the two companies is marked by the First Cut Ceremonial which also marks the start of nickel commodity production operations which will be held on Saturday (25/6).
