VALE is the world’s largest producer of iron ore, pellets, and nickel. It is a global company headquartered in Brazil represented in 38 countries and employing over 100,000 people worldwide.

Indonesia Growth Project (IGP) Morowali is an integrated nickel mining and processing project with an investment of around Rp 37,5 trillion. Mining activities by PT Vale take place in Bungku Timur. Nickel ore from the mining is processed at a processing facility with RKEF technology in Sambalagi Village.

As part of the Indonesia Growth Program – (IGP), Bahodopi MBB2-3 project is one of these key projects where the company is investing. The project is meant to supply approximately 3.64 Mtpa (wet) of saprolite ore to an Ore Port within Bahodopi for barging to a ferronickel (FeNi) plant located at a coastal location South of Bahodopi.

Progesys along with its consortium partners Black & Veatch and Jaya provide project and construction management (PCM) services to PT Vale Indonesia supporting the company’s team for the execution phase of Bahodopi MBB2-3 project.

SERVICES INCLUDE:

• Ensure management and execution of project while meeting project and operational objectives. (on time, on budget, with expected quality, alignment with PTVI corporate governance, policies and system, and laws and regulations in force in Indonesia)
• Implement a project monitoring and governance for management of site and EPC contractor.
• Develop and implement project management strategies and procedures.
• Develop and monitor the project risk management plan to ensure the identified risks are properly managed through the implementation of a risk response and monitoring system as well as the ongoing identification and assessment of emerging risks.
• Develop the project communications management plan and ensure the availability of the information is valid and the information can be updated for all stakeholders.
• Provide project control services for planning, monitoring and reporting (Document control, cost control, schedule progress, safety and risk management KPI's etc.).
• Monitor contractor on their procurement management activities.
• Assist the client with procurement management and perform material management and temporary warehousing.
• Review and validate contractor detailed engineering design in compliance with project requirements.
• Perform the construction and site management.
• Provide support of Commissioning and start-up activities.
• Provide training to local contractor on best practices of work planning, job hazard analysis and construction management.
• Provide advice to the client related to contract management and community management
