PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) is a state-owned enterprise that operates in mining industry, particularly coal mining, located in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra. Its main business activities include general research, exploration, exploitation, processing, refining, transportation, and trading of coal. It manages special coal port facilities, operates steam power plants, and provides consulting services related to the coal mining industry and production. The company also offers briquette processing, mining services, oil palm plantation and processing, and health services. Almost 40 percent of PTBA's production is exported to the international markets, including India, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea.
