Petrosea Secures IDR 3.5 Trillion Contract for Coal Mining in North Musi Rawas

PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO) announced that on July 14, 2025, the company signed a mining services contract with PT Barasentosa Lestari (BSL). The contract, worth IDR 3.5 trillion, covers stripping and overburden removal services.

Mining Director of PT Petrosea Tbk, Iman Darus Hikhman, stated that under this contract, his company acts as a mining services contractor for BSL at a coal mine in North Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra Province. "Obtaining this contract is part of Petrosea's long-term strategy to increase value creation through business expansion and development in the South Sumatra region," he said in a written statement on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

Petrosea, Iman said, also offers a variety of services for the coal and mineral mining sector, including pit-to-port services, including open-pit contract mining services, civil and infrastructure construction, mining project management services, technical and feasibility study consulting services, and mine planning and optimization services. Petrosea also offers the Minerva Digital Platform solution, which utilizes technology to improve efficiency and productivity.

"Petrosea also has the capability to monitor and control operational activities across various projects by utilizing real-time data through the Remote Operations Center located at the company's headquarters," said Iman.

Earlier this year, Petrosea also secured new contracts, including a mining services agreement with PT Pasir Bara Prima with a life of mine duration and a contract value of IDR 17.4 trillion. In addition, Petrosea signed an Onshore Early Works EPC agreement for the Ubadari, Tangguh EGR/CCUS & Tangguh Onshore Compression (UCC) projects with a contract value of IDR 4.6 trillion and a term of 24 months, as well as a procurement and construction agreement for the development of the Pomalaa Block mine with PT Vale Indonesia Tbk with a contract value of IDR 2.8 trillion and a term of 24 months.
